QUBIC Labs Announces Boston Blockchain Week 2026: “The Digital Infrastructure Stack”

QUBIC Labs, Boston’s hub for blockchain and digital infrastructure technology, today announced Boston Blockchain Week 2026 (BBW26), taking place September 8–10, 2026, at Kilroy Square in Quincy Center. Now in its fifth year, the event will convene technologists, business leaders, financial institutions, policymakers, investors, and students around a singular focus: the transition of blockchain technology from experimentation to deployed infrastructure.

This year’s theme, “The Digital Infrastructure Stack,” reflects the maturation of the industry. Blockchain systems are no longer isolated experiments—they are becoming foundational layers in payment networks, identity systems, supply chains, and capital markets.

“We’re past the proof-of-concept phase,” said Ian Cain, Co-Founder & Executive Chairman of QUBIC Labs. “The conversations have shifted from ‘what is blockchain’ to ‘how do we integrate it, how do we comply, and how do we operate at scale.’ BBW26 is built around those questions.”

Six Tracks Covering the Full Stack

The three-day program features six tracks spanning the infrastructure landscape:

    • Payment & Settlement Systems – Stablecoins, cross-border rails, real-time settlement, and treasury operations
    • Tokenization & Asset Infrastructure – Securities tokenization, real-world assets, custody, and trading infrastructure
    • Data & Trust Infrastructure – Digital identity, verifiable credentials, and privacy-preserving data sharing
    • Regulation & Compliance – Policy frameworks, compliance architecture, and working effectively with regulators
    • Enterprise & Government Adoption – Supply chain, energy markets, public services, and real-world case studies
    • Building & Deploying – Developer tools, security, integration strategies, and interoperability

Two cross-cutting themes—AI-native systems and security by design—will be woven throughout all programming.

    Dealroom: Curated Capital Formation

New to BBW, Dealroom is Boston Blockchain Week’s dedicated capital formation program connecting blockchain founders with institutional investors.

Unlike open networking or pitch competitions, Dealroom is a structured, invite-only program designed for serious conversations. Selected founders are matched with relevant investors based on stage, sector, and strategic fit, with pre-scheduled meetings throughout the event.

“Dealroom is about quality over quantity,” said Cain. “We’re not filling a room and hoping for the best. We’re creating the conditions for meaningful connections between founders building real infrastructure and investors who understand the space.”

    For Founders:

    • Application-based selection process
    • Curated matches with institutional investors, family offices, and strategic capital
    • Pre-scheduled 1:1 meetings during the event
    • Access to all BBW26 programming

    For Investors:

    • Curated deal flow from vetted blockchain infrastructure companies
    • Founders screened for traction, regulatory posture, and production readiness
    • Efficient meeting grid—multiple meetings in a single day
    • Direct access to Boston’s emerging digital infrastructure ecosystem

Dealroom applications open July 27, 2026. Space is limited to 25 founders.

Boston’s Growing Role in Digital Infrastructure

BBW26 builds on the momentum of Boston Blockchain Week 2025, which drew over 500 attendees and featured Abigail P. Johnson, Chairman & CEO of Fidelity, as a keynote speaker. The event has established itself as a premier gathering for blockchain leaders in the Northeast, bridging the gap between crypto-native builders and traditional institutions.

“Boston has always been a hub for financial services innovation, world-class research, and institutional credibility,” said Cain. “We’re bringing those strengths to bear on blockchain infrastructure—not hype, but systems that work in regulated environments.”

    Who Should Attend

BBW26 is designed for anyone working on, or looking to enter, the blockchain infrastructure space:

    • Infrastructure engineers, protocol developers, and technical architects
    • Financial services executives and capital markets professionals
    • Enterprise innovation leaders and digital transformation teams
    • Government officials and public sector technologists
    • Investors, fund managers, and M&A advisors
    • Legal, compliance, and regulatory professionals
    • Academic researchers and policy analysts
    • Students exploring careers in blockchain, fintech, and digital infrastructure
    • Professionals from adjacent industries looking to understand how blockchain technology applies to their work

Whether you’re deploying systems in production or just starting to explore the space, BBW26 offers programming across experience levels—from foundational sessions for newcomers to deep technical content for practitioners.
