Solana network activity has surged over the past month, suggesting significant increases in user market participation. Network activity on the Solana blockchain rose massively, reaching 4.244 billion transactions, a new all-time high, in July, exceeding the previous records reached in the previous month, according to data shared today by market analyst CryptoJack.
Transaction volume in July was concentrated on Solana, with the analyst’s data indicating a significant increase in customer market engagement on the chain. The development indicates that Solana’s high-performance blockchain is under pressure due to increased demand for rapid trade execution and DeFi applications.
Solana Outpaces Rivals in Network Activity
The data pointed out a new high-volume transaction on Solana, a record-setting month that didn’t occur out of nowhere. The network’s monthly transactions peaked at 4.244 billion in July, driven by increased client activity, underscoring Solana’s growing role as a hub for crypto market participation as user growth accelerates across the ecosystem.
Further metrics released today by market analyst Luciano-BTC revealed that Solana currently leads in spiked activity and adoption, outperforming its rivals in daily active users and daily on-chain transactions. Last month, the chain recorded more active addresses and on-chain transactions, outpacing other major blockchains, including BNB Chain, Bitcoin, TRON, Robinhood Chai, and several others. This event recognizes Solana as one of the most widely utilized blockchains in the crypto landscape. Over the past 30 days, the chain consistently recorded more than 3 million daily active addresses and more than 100 million daily on-chain transactions, driven by rapid transaction settlement, lower fees, and rising user activity across digital assets, meme coins, DeFi, and on-chain utilities.
Why SOL Price Is Sliding
While the above increases in network activity indicate robust user engagement on Solana, they are not yet reflected in the SOL price. Despite the surges noticed over July, SOL continues to struggle with a downtrend, currently trading at $73.99, down 2.5% and 10.4% over the past week and month, respectively. This phenomenon – the on-chain activity rising while the price remains down – is a divergence that has repeatedly occurred in the past.
 
Despite user activity continuing to surge, the SOL price remains down, suggesting weak demand for spot Solana trading. Another reason is that price movements typically lag market activity. While the rise in active user activity is organic, it’s not reflected in the price, implying that momentum underneath Solana remains positive, even as the price still waits for clear direction.
