Yes, the rollout footage is from Artemis I — sorry, but these videos take time to make. I needed this footage weeks ago.
Apollo 8 conducted SIX television transmissions — two on the way to the Moon, two in lunar orbit, and two on the way home. For purposes of time, I have ‘flattened’ these into effectively three — combining each pair into what is presented in the film as a single sequence. I also have combined audio from separate transmissions, such as the broadcasting of music, to play alongside a TV transmission (on the journey home). This is done for brevity and cinematic purposes. Jim Lovell’s comment in the ‘final’ transmission in the film — on whether he would land on the blue or brown part of the Earth, was actually taken from the second TV transmission made, and during the outbound leg. That is the only snippet of audio in the film which had significantly altered context. All others more or less happened as presented.
KSP CGI is often presented at an accelerated time playback — the Apollo 8 spacecraft did not spin that rapidly in PTC, nor did it travel that quickly over the Moon.
