We chose Exodus due to the rich features it provides to mobile-first Ethereum holders to help secure and manage their digital assets.
Exodus was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. The Exodus crypto wallet is available on the web and desktop platforms. However, due to its excellent user interface on the mobile platform, it is our choice as the best wallet for mobile-first Ethereum holders.
The Exodus wallet app is available on popular digital marketplaces such as Google Play and the App Store. Users who have downloaded the wallet have praised the application on both marketplaces. In addition, Exodus is compatible with Trezor hardware wallets, which enhances its security. Exodus supports just over 280 cryptocurrencies and over 50 networks, which we found during our research to be on the lighter side industrywide. Still, it carries all of the major cryptos, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, and, of course, Ethereum.
The mobile app doesn’t skimp on functionality; in fact, we found it to be impressive. Users can buy, sell, send, receive, and stake crypto right from the palm of their hands. However, unlike many other types of wallets on the market, the app offers many funding options, where users can buy Ethereum and other types of crypto using a credit card, bank transfer, or payment service like PayPal.
Before future customers download the app, they should understand that it has some drawbacks. The biggest drawback we found was that its source code is not fully open for auditing. Also, while it claims to offer 24/7 customer support, you can only contact customer support via email. Generally, customers can expect a response in a few hours. However, it has excellent resources in its support center and an intuitive chatbot for quick and easy solutions.
