Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple Labs, believes that XRP is on track to reach a $10 trillion market capitalization. In a podcast shared today on X, the American executive says this is possible.
While many crypto traders may see this bold prediction as impossible, Garlinghouse is convinced it’s attainable because of positive, developing catalysts.
Garlinghouse’s analysis comes as XRP’s total market cap currently stands at $88.89 billion. Back in January 2017, the asset’s market value reached $232 million. In 2019, the valuation surged to $15 billion and climbed further to $18 billion in 2020. By 2024, the asset’s valuation was trading at $34 billion.
Following major legal victories against the SEC and legislative shifts in the US, XRP saw massive rebounds. By the end of 2024 and the start of 2025, the asset’s market value skyrocketed immensely, and at one point it overtook both Tether and Solana to clinch the top three position in the crypto market.
Why XRP is destined to hit $1 trillion
Because of this growth, Garlinghouse believes the asset is on track to reach $10 trillion, with its price trading at $179.50 in the next 10-15 years.
 
The executive outlined enabling factors likely to propel XRP’s market to $10 trillion. First, he identified the Trump administration as a major accelerator not only for the wider crypto market’s growth, but also for paving the way for XRP to navigate previous legal battles with the SEC. By advocating for clearer, supportive regulations, Garlinghouse believes the administration’s pro-crypto stance will continue to accelerate growth and adoption of crypto assets.
The executive specifically pointed out that the CLARITY Act will bring regulatory certainty, which institutions have been waiting for in the crypto market. In the past, the market spent years fighting for this one key hurdle: unclear rules. According to the Ripple CEO, the CLARITY Act is set to change that by reshaping how institutions interact with digital assets, including XRP.
Furthermore, the executive believes XRP’s value is set to expand significantly due to its recognized role in cross-border payments and liquidity management. XRP is widely known as a fast, low-cost bridge currency for cross-border payments, setting it apart from other cryptocurrencies. This is why numerous banks and financial institutions use Ripple’s blockchain to power international settlement solutions and cut bank transfer fees.
