I was inspired to play music with our laser. For now I just figured out how to do it. Next I’ll do the entire song and arrange the engraving to make a TRL Logo… hmm or a Vader helmet.
How does it work? Each note is a rectangle. The height of the rectangle gives the frequency of the note, the width the length of the note. For example a height of 0.382mm with a laser speed of 100mm per second means it takes the laser 0.00381seconds to engrave a line in the rectangle which makes a sound at 262Hz which is middle C.
