I tried to photograph Artemis near the Moon using my backyard telescope…
At first, I saw nothing.
Clouds, noise, dead pixels — everything was working against me.
But then… something appeared.
In this video, I walk you through exactly how I tracked the location of Artemis II, analyzed the data, and compared what I captured against known star positions.
Is it really Artemis?
Or is something else happening in the data?
This is not theory — this is a real attempt using real equipment.
🌕 What you’ll see in this video:
• My telescope setup and tracking method
• Why Artemis is extremely difficult to photograph from Earth
• The exact moment I think I captured something
• How I verified it using star alignment and motion
• The challenges (clouds, brightness, and false signals)
If you’ve ever wondered whether we can actually detect spacecraft near the Moon from Earth… this is for you.

Alright… I’m not done yet.
Next clear sky — I’m going back out to confirm this.
This is Ray.
I take pictures of the universe from my backyard.
